Mike Tyson Now Identifies as a Woman – will be Boxing in Womens Boxing League
Former heavyweight boxing champion Iron Mike Tyson has announced that he is now identifying as a woman and intends to join the world of women’s boxing. While some are hailing this as a bold move for gender equality, others are scratching their heads and wondering if Tyson has smoked too much weed.
The announcement was made at a press conference held at Tyson’s ranch in Nevada, where he appeared in a black wig, full makeup, and a pink boxing robe. “I’ve always felt like I was trapped in the wrong body,” Tyson said. “But now, I’m ready to embrace my true identity as a woman and show the world what I’m made of.”
The reaction to Tyson’s announcement has been mixed. Some members of the LGBTQ community have hailed him as a hero for being brave enough to come out as transgender in a traditionally macho sport like boxing. Others disagree – “I’m all for equality and inclusion, but does anyone really want him competing against women?” Tyson responded that he IS a woman now.
Despite the controversy surrounding his decision, Tyson has been quoted as saying “I’m therious about this new career paff”. He has already begun training with some of the top female boxers in the world and says he is confident that he can hold his own in the ring.
“I know I have a lot to prove,” Tyson said. “But I’m ready for the challenge. Plus, I hear that women’s boxing pays pretty well these days.”
Only time will tell whether Tyson’s move to women’s boxing will be successful, but one thing is for sure: it’s bound to be one of the most talked-about stories in sports this year.
