Pew Study: White Liberals Disproportionately Suffer from Mental Illness
Findings from a Pew poll conducted in 2020 reveal that white liberals are disproportionately affected by mental illness compared to their conservative counterparts.
The research, encompassing white individuals across the liberal, moderate, and conservative spectrum, both male and female, indicates a significantly lower prevalence of mental health diagnoses among conservatives compared to those identifying as liberal or “very liberal.”
Of particular concern are young white women, among whom liberal identification correlates with the highest incidence of mental health diagnoses. Specifically, among white women aged 18-29, 56.3% of liberals received a mental health diagnosis, contrasted with 28.4% among moderates and 27.3% among conservatives.
Zach Goldberg, a Ph.D. candidate in political science, consolidated the study’s info in a set of visuals and posted them to a thread on Twitter.
Goldberg included the following disclaimer with his research: “I didn’t write this thread to mock white liberals or their apparently disproportionate rates of mental illness (and you shouldn’t either). Rather, this is a question that’s underexplored and which may shed light on attitudinal differences towards various social policies.”
Well, they say liberalism is a mental disease!
White women, ages 18-29, who identified as liberal were given a mental health diagnosis from medical professionals at a rate of 56.3%, as compared to 28.4% in moderates and 27.3% in conservatives.
There is a shockingly high rate of mental illness in middle age white liberal women. It’s such a disproportionate rate for that specific demographic that it is outrageous the media isn’t reporting on it. These are our wives, sisters, and mothers!

It’s a sick, rigged society where things stay the same until the loudmouths have upset more than half the normals.
Liberalism used to simply be misguided and your classic liberals remain out in the public square. They just do not fully understand, but are decent enough folks and do have something to offer.
But more and more, liberals are of two main categories – flat out liars, and people stupid, or mentally ill, enough to believe the obvious lies. The fall for false narratives hook, line and sinker. Mentally weak, small minded, people are putty in the hands of those who run the propaganda machine. They are a big problem on Election Day.
We should all lead with our hearts, which is what your classical liberal does. But we should all also bring the brains along. Brainpower is severely lacking in all variations of the liberal left.
