James Comey’s 86/47 Threat to Trump

Those seashells, meticulously arranged to spell out “86 47,” weren’t some innocent beach find, 86 is universal slang for “get rid of” or “kill,” and 47 means Donald Trump, the 47th President.

This is not Comey’s 1st time to post an image that made references like the 86-47.
Back in Oct 2019, he posted a pic of toys he said his godson arranged that reminded him of JFK’s motorcade in Dealey Plaza, knowing that Trump was going to do a rally near there soon.

For a man who once led the nation’s top investigative agency, Comey’s claim of ignorance is laughable, an insult to anyone with a shred of common sense.

This wasn’t a random snapshot; it was a calculated message to the mentally unstable to take action.

This is the same guy who claimed, “Make your way over (to the Capitol) peacefully” was a coded signal to “launch an insurrection.”

In January of 2021, Comey stated that President Trump should be convicted by the Senate for inciting the Capitol rioters but argued against criminal prosecution, suggesting it would allow the nation to “heal.”

In May of 2024, Comey emphasized the need for the FBI to identify and charge every individual who entered the Capitol on January 6th, stating, “They need to feel the force of the rule of law….The President and his enablers have tried to motivate people to violence.”

Comey’s excuse that he didn’t think twice about the post until his wife flagged its interpretation is pathetic. This is a guy who spent decades dissecting coded language, navigating the murky waters of law enforcement.

Why would he stop to photograph those shells? Why post it to a public platform? The odds of this being a coincidence are zero. Comey’s too calculating, too obsessed with his own narrative.

Comey’s not just reckless, he’s dangerous, a former top cop playing games with symbols that could inspire unhinged lunatics. Lock him up, let a jury decide his fate, and send a message that no one, not even a former FBI Director, is above the law. Anything less is a betrayal of justice.

It is illegal to threaten a U.S. president.
Under 18 U.S.C. § 871, it is a federal crime to knowingly and willfully make any threat to take the life of, kidnap, or inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States. The law applies to both the sitting president and the president-elect.

  • The threat doesn’t need to be acted upon; the act of making the threat is enough.
  • Penalties can include up to 5 years in prison, a fine, or both.
  • The Secret Service investigates such threats, and even ambiguous or coded messages can be scrutinized if they’re deemed threatening.
  • Courts have upheld that First Amendment protections don’t cover true threats, though context and intent matter in prosecution.

  1. No wonder so many crimes went unsolved!
The intercepted message could have read “We 86’d him last night” and Comey would have been stumped!

  2. Bobby from Nassau says:

Former FBI Director James Comey had no idea what “86” meant???
    YEAH RIGHT!
