China Threatens ‘Total War’ with US if Trump doesn’t remove Tariffs

“I hope by the end of the day President Trump will realise how wrong he has been in using such maximum pressure against China.” China is prepared to retaliate against US tariffs “even at the cost of total war” in the form of tariffs, trade, “or otherwise”, said Victor Gao, vice president of the Beijing-based Center for China and Globalization.

No, President Trump does not have a personal hatred of China, has spoken on numerous occasions with words to the exact opposite. While there are several interesting points made in this video that have validity, there are more that do not, like this nonsense that Trump hates China and that that colors his thinking. It is woefully stupid to think such a thing.

The lack of validity so evident in much of what is said here, notwithstanding a few noteworthy and legitimate points, is such that any Trump White House official could and would shut it down with a sentence or two. I know I can.

Meanwhile, Bill Ackman has posted on social media that Trump should not “go to war with the world” on the issue of trade. What this man misses, altogether, is that the trade war has been going on for decades, with the US the willing target of much of the world. Trump does not wage war on the issue, he answers the decades long war against America, with a demand for equity and fairness. Mr Ackman is far too smart to miss this point, needs to understand such an easy concept to grasp and follow, and reconsider his stance accordingly.

And, no, the world does not stand with China, as indicated, of course not. With true leadership in the White House, and its Oval Office, “the world” has little choice but to come to the table, and cut out their abusive trade policies pertaining to the “beacon of freedom”, to “mankind’s last best hope”, to the “shining city on the hill”. And they very likely will, in large scale.

As to the tariff standoff itself, with China, the 47th American President gave the defining explanation on Truth Social. Anyone, anywhere, that reads those conveyances can only conclude that Red China can grandstand all they wish and that it doesn’t change, one bit, that they have been highly abusive economically on the global stage, and of its stance on trade with the US. They have been eating our lunch, our dinner, our breakfast, all of our snacks, all four food groups, and drinking our tea and wine. Anything beyond the Truth Social post of President Donald John Trump is extraneous.

Below is that post. Please read it, at least three times.

Yesterday, China issued Retaliatory Tariffs of 34%, on top of their already record setting Tariffs, Non-Monetary Tariffs, Illegal Subsidization of companies, and massive long term Currency Manipulation, despite my warning that any country that Retaliates against the U.S. by issuing additional Tariffs, above and beyond their already existing long term Tariff abuse of our Nation, will be immediately met with new and substantially higher Tariffs, over and above those initially set. Therefore, if China does not withdraw its 34% increase above their already long term trading abuses by tomorrow, April 8th, 2025, the United States will impose ADDITIONAL Tariffs on China of 50%, effective April 9th. Additionally, all talks with China concerning their requested meetings with us will be terminated! Negotiations with other countries, which have also requested meetings, will begin taking place immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

I could go on and on, but my point here is I have NEVER supported China and their Communist government. My father fought China in the Korean War, and my oldest brother fought China in Vietnam.

We’ve ALWAYS been at war with China.

  3. Excellent Comment! I totally agree with your take on this! China started this trade war a LONG time ago, when Bill Clinton allowed them into the WTO. Since that moment, China has cheated, lied, stolen intellectual and industrial property, cut out other markets as soon as they’d stolen the “know how” offered to them, not allowed other countries into their markets or to actually buy stock (people who THINK they are buying Chinese stocks are only buying shells – not actual stocks). It’s been lies and deception sold along with cheap goods manufactured by slave labor.
