Epstein to Lawyer: No Bad Information about Trump

August 8, 2025
In a recent CNN interview, David Schoen, the former attorney for Jeffrey Epstein, asserted that the disgraced financier told him he possessed no detrimental information on Donald Trump, a statement that aligns with official findings and challenges persistent speculation about their relationship.

Schoen, who represented Epstein during his legal troubles before the financier’s death in 2019, made the claim amidst ongoing public interest in Epstein’s associations. “Epstein was adamant in making clear that he had no bad information about Trump” Schoen said, recalling a conversation that took place days before Epstein’s suicide in a Manhattan jail cell.

No credible evidence has emerged linking Trump to Epstein’s illegal actions, a point underscored by a July 7, 2025, Justice Department memo. The political ramifications of Schoen’s assertions are significant. For Trump, it could serve as a point of exoneration, reinforcing his denials and potentially shifting the focus away from Epstein-related accusations.

The lack of contradictory evidence, combined with the Justice Department’s findings, suggests Schoen’s statement may be grounded in truth rather than fabrication.
